Hi everyone! Are you ready for the start of a full five day work week? It’s been a while since we’ve had one of those! Ryan and I decided that we’d take the week off last week for a beach holiday because we simply needed a break. Quite spur of the moment we planned to head off to Warner Beach which is a sleepy little town south of Durban, KwaZulu Natal (comment down below if you’re from Durbs 🙂 ). It honestly did us the world of good.
I’ve been feeling so worried and anxious lately and so unlike myself that I just needed a moment to regain my composure and rediscover what is important for me in my life. There is nothing like some sea views, salt air and a couple gorgeous sunrises (I posted a few beautiful ones on my Instagram account – @arumlilea) to realign your thoughts. I can honestly say that this past week away from my emails, computer and even TV really helped me to focus on what it is that I want from life and what is most important to me. In this week off I also read Paulo Coehlo’s The Devil and Miss Prym which also helped to put things in perspective. I’ve decided that I need to make a couple changes in my life that are going to be good for my soul. A spring-cleaning if you like. As always I’ll be sharing everything with you as we go along just as I have over the past four years. Thank you, by the way, for having grown with me over the time period in which I have been writing this blog.
In any event, this beach holiday had us lapping up our time on the beach from sunrise walks with our dog to morning workouts on the sand and even a few swims. We drank wine, listened to the ocean, went for tea and scones in what seemed like a forest and, most importantly, enjoyed our time together simply being. It was marvelous. I’ve come home feeling refreshed, revitalised and ready to give the next few months inspiration from new eyes.
Thanks so much for reading! I hope you have a wonderful Monday:)

Thank you for sharing your revelations while you enjoyed some Vitamin Sea. I find the following inspirational and hope you will, too: ‘Advice from the ocean – Be shore of yourself. Come out of your shell. Take time to coast. Avoid pier pressure. Sea life’s beauty. Don’t get tide down. Make waves.’ Xx
Leanne says
That is the most beautiful advice I’ve ever heard. Thank you so much for your comment, Auntie Jackie! You’re such a special soul. Love you! x

Takes a special soul to know another. ‘Sea treasure in simple things. Adapt to changing tides. Surf life’s rough waves. Bet on a shore thing.’ High tide or low tide, remember I’ll always be by your side. Sending mermaid kisses and starfish wishes. Love you, too!
