There have been a few new product launches that have happened this past month and I couldn’t be more excited than to share these with you.  Grab yourself a cup of tea and let’s discover what’s new on my beauty desk.  There’s a little from Elizabeth Arden, Scholls, Juicy Couture and Revlon to discover.

For starters, if you’ve been reading for a while you will know that I swear by Maybelline’s  Great Lash mascara and that I pretty much feel that nothing compares.  I have constantly been disappointed by other mascaras so I didn’t have much expectation when it came to trying out the Elizabeth Arden Grand Entrance mascara.  After having tried it for a couple weeks now, I can honestly say that I have been completely blown away.  I love absolutely everything about it.  The wand is fantastic with the brush having perfectly spaced bristles which create such even coats of mascara when combing through your lashes.  I’ve realised that the bristles prevent any and all clumps as I’m not experiencing any whatsoever.  My lashes are so long after having used this mascara that I’ve honestly left behind my false lashes this past month which says a lot.  This product is phenomenal and I highly recommended you try it (and that doesn’t come lightly when it comes to me and mascara).

The next thing that’s New On My Beauty Desk is a perfect pairing when it comes to an at-home manicure.  The first step to a beautiful mani is shaping, buffing and polishing your nails and this Scholl Velvet Smooth electronic nail care system has made that process completely effortless.  There are three different files which can be attached to a battery-powered, handheld device which can be interchanged easily and I find that using this device cuts down the time it takes to do my nails in half.  For a great quality polish I use Revlon’s Colorstay Gel Envy which are completely opaque, last so well without chipping and, if I use the top coat, my nails stay shiny until its time to change my colour.  I’ve raved about these polishes for a while now and you can read those posts here and here.

Revlon has also recently released the Revlon Colorstay 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer Compact which are absolutely fantastic!  For starters they are R299.00 each which is completely unbelievable.  When would you ever be able to purchase a foundation and concealer for that price?!  The packaging is great because it includes a mirror and a great applicator in each compact.  In terms of the product itself, the texture of the foundation is buttery and provides such a healthy, radiant finish which I love and adore.  It  blends out beautifully.  I can create a medium to full coverage finish by building the foundation and then by applying the concealer on top of the foundation for a really stunning finish.  It’s such a great product that I don’t even need to set it with a finishing powder, however they have also launched a wonderful Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder too.  If you have oily skin you will love setting your makeup with the pressed powder over your foundation and concealer to create a beautiful finish that is also going to last all day.

The last in this series of what’s New On My Beauty Desk is this incredibly beautiful bottle of Juicy Couture’s new fragrance Viva La Juicy Rosé.  Both the box and the bottle are covered in pink glitter and, hello, how could you not fall in love with that fact?  The fragrance, surprise, is rose scented and I’m a huge lover of all things rose.  I just find the scent to warming and comforting.  I’ve been wearing it almost daily so that’s definitely one way of determining how much it has impressed me.  I’m a little obsessed with this fragrance.  If you are looking for a special gift for a friend or family member, I would definitely suggest this fragrance.  It’s so feminine and so delightful that anyone would squeal with delight at this gift.

That’s it for this installment of what’s New On My Beauty Desk.  You can catch up on my last edition of this series here, here and here.  Are there any new products that you’ve tried this past month?  If you’ve come across any new favourites (or even if you’ve been terribly disappointed with a product) please leave it down below in the comment section.  I want these posts to be a place where we can share and discuss all our thoughts on beauty products because, lets face it, that’s my favourite topic.

Oh my gosh those nail colours are beauty full. Makes me so excited for the summer that everyone else is having – I live in New Zealand so I don’t know if I can really join in. What do you think of the nail files? Does it work?

I’m in South Africa so we’re also heading into winter but a pink mani is one of my year-round indulgences. It’s just so feminine I can’t resist. They really do work! They’ve halved the time that it takes to do my nails and I absolutely love the results.

      Thanks so much for reading!
