 Hi everyone.  I hope you had a lovely weekend.  I had such a great time celebrating my birthday over the weekend and I couldn’t have had a better one.  On Friday, after work, Ryan took me out for a birthday cocktail at a roof-top bar (perhaps you saw that on Instagram Stories @arumlilea).  It was so lovely just to have a moment to ourselves catching up on what has been a really busy week.  After our drinks we headed out for dinner with my family and it couldn’t have been a nicer evening.

On Saturday, despite a forecast for rain, I had all my friends over for a braai and it was loads of fun.  I have a lot of friends that have recently moved overseas, though, so it was quite sad to be missing them amongst all the celebrations.  My friend, Jennifer, however, woke up early in California so that she could FaceTime and celebrate with us for a little while which couldn’t have been more special.  We also played “Watch Ya Mouth”.  Have you played it?  You may have seen it on the Ellen Degeneres show.  We played it while we were with our friends in Los Angeles and I have never laughed so hard in my entire life.  Our friends there said we needed to play it here and sent the game home with us so that’s exactly what we did after dinner and, my gosh, did we laugh.  We laughed even more when Irina’s Russian accent came out in full force even though you would never hear a trace a trace of it until she speaks Russian.  It was hilarious!

Yesterday I spent the day tidying up the house and then headed to the spa at the gym to relax and unwind.  I think I really should make that a Sunday ritual.  Afterwards I went to my dad and he helped me shoot today’s outfit post.  I wanted to shoot in JHB CBD but, honestly, neither of us felt safe at all.  It’s really such a pity because there are some beautiful locations in town but it’s so dangerous that it’s honestly not worth taking the risk of roaming around there.  Anyway, we finally managed to get these shots near Great Dane and Neighbour Goods and here they are today.  I hope you like them!  All in all it was a wonderful birthday weekend and it was just a reminder of how many incredibly special people I have in my life.  Thank you so much to everyone of you that has wishes me or sent me messages.  I truly couldn’t feel more special!  You all mean so much to me.
