Spring in the English countryside or autumn in the Jo’burg suburbs? If I could teleport, I’d probably arrive in the English countryside so maybe we should just go with that. The broderie anglaise on this white maxi dress definitely lends itself to the idea of the English countryside, doesn’t it? It’s so lovely and summery.
Regardless, there’s something about broderie anglaise that I find so beautiful. It’s such a gorgeous detail on a dress that I find that is the reason that I wear this particular white maxi dress as often as I do.
You might find this surprising, but even though we’ve been spending week after week at home, I’ve still been finding so much joy in getting dressed and wearing my favourite pieces in my wardrobe. A white maxi dress is always an easy choice for me because they look so beautiful but they’re so comfortable. In fact, they’re probably even quicker to throw on than sweatpants, so why not?
If you’re lucky enough to be living somewhere that’s heading into summer, you definitely want to be stocking up on a few beautiful and easy-to-wear maxi dresses. That way you can feel like you’re making the most of the warmer weather, even though travelling for the summer holidays is probably on hold. I’ve linked a few of my favourite white maxi dresses throughout this post. They are so lovely!
If you’d like a little more inspiration for dresses to wear at home, take a look at this post and a few more of my favourite dresses in the Arum Lilea Dress Edit. I’d also love to know whether you’ve also been getting dressed up during the past few weeks. Surely I’m not the only one enjoying my favourite clothes at the moment, right?
