Hi everyone! Isn’t this citrus orchard looking so beautiful? Irina and I have been speaking about capturing pictures in a citrus orchard all year and we had so much fun doing just that. It’s been a while since my last “Lately I’ve been loving” post so I thought it was high time I did an updated one for you. I’d love to know what you’ve been loving too!
LATELY I’VE BEEN…
watching – Downton Abbey. Gosh I know I’m late to the party but I’m absolutely loving this series! It’s such a great period drama involving an English family and all the staff working at the Abbey too and it’s absolutely wonderful. The witty sense of humour is brilliant and I love how it weaves in historical developments such as the Titanic, WWI, the introduction of the telephone, etc. If you’re looking for something to watch on Netflix, I’d definitely recommend it!
reading – The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. Only over the past twelve months have I learnt that C.S. Lewis, most famously known for The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, wrote extensively on the topic of Christianity too so this is the first of the kind that I’ve started reading. It’s only a short read but I’m finding that it requires a lot of attention so that I don’t miss the true meaning of each letter. It might seem lighthearted but there is weight to this material so I’m taking it piece by piece and digesting each letter at a time.
eating – way too much cheese! It was Ryan’s birthday over the weekend so I’ve eaten all sorts of unhealthy things such as halloumi stacks, cheese platters, pizza, cheese cake with cream cheese icing, etc. So delicious but it’s time to ensure my fruit and veg intake increases over the rest of the week.
looking for – baby things. We’ve been looking at bottles, prams, baby clothes, car seats, storybooks, etc. Pretty much everything related to babies is currently on my radar. It’s a whole new world to me but I’m loving it!
planning – a bridal shower, bachelorette and babyshower! What an exciting time period! I’m having the best time looking up all different ideas and themes. It’s so wonderful to celebrate life, especially since life turned upside down lat year. The bridal shower and bachelorette are next week! In terms of the babyshower, I still need to decide on catering choices, prepare a registry, send out invites and order a cake. If you have any recommendations for cake suppliers, please let me know.
using – two new beauty products. The first is the Clarins Double Serum Eye. You have heard me rave about the original Clarins Double Serum so it’ll come as no surprise that I’m thrilled to incorporate this new launch into my daily skincare routine and I’m absolutely loving it. The second product that I’m loving is the . It’s such a lightweight concealer that is buildable which is so lovely for days where you just feel like wearing a little concealer, mascara and gloss but it also is great for days where you’re looking for a full makeup look too. It’s such a great pricepoint too!
loving – pilates. I’ve been doing quite a bit of NVP Studio pilates which I’ve really been enjoying. I love the balance between the effectiveness and simplicity that Natalia achieves. It looks so simple but the workouts will leave your muscles squealing for days afterwards!
