Happy Easter weekend everybody! This Easter is an extra-special one for us as it’s Edward’s first Easter. I cannot express in words how in love we are with our little Edward. He has become so chatty and alert and he gives us a huge gummy smile and plenty of giggles. It’s just incredible. Nothing could have prepared me for how in love I am with this sweet angel.
We celebrated his baptism on the last weekend of February in order to have him christened before Lent began the following Wednesday. It was such an incredible day that we were able to share with our closest friends and family. I still have so many pictures to sort through and then perhaps I’ll share a post, if you’d like to see one.
During Lent and the preparation for Easter, I’ve had such fun taking Edward to the library to find Easter-related books to read to him. We’ve discovered beautiful children’s bibles, stories about angels, Easter parades and I’ve also discovered children’s books sharing Easter traditions in different countries which is quite special. Also, in keeping with the Easter Bunny theme, we took Edward to a Peter Rabbit reading at Exclusive Books which was just adorable. I also happened to pick up a copy of Peter Rabbit Easter Surprise for Edward’s Easter basket. It’s so sweet!
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend. We’ll be heading to church and spending the morning with my family and the afternoon with Ryan’s family. Little Edward is bound to receive plenty of cuddles tomorrow, that’s for sure. Have a very special Easter. Love to you all x
