Over the weekend you might have seen over on my Instagram Stories (@arumlilea) or Facebook Live that I surprised my sister, Jasmine, with a Mugler Source experience at the fragrance counter at Woolworths in Sandton City. Mugler is the only fragrance brand in the country which offers a refillable service to its customers. My sister and I are huge fans of the Mugler fragrances and have been for years (you may remember this post from a couple years back). happens to be my favourite fragrance. Whenever I wear it, I receive so many compliments throughout the day. To me, it is just the most wonderfully sensual fragrance. My boyfriend can pick up the fragrance anywhere in a crowd so I think he loves it just as much as I do. In an interesting twist of fate, my sister happened to fall in love with and so we became lovers of the two iconic fragrances from the same fragrance house. Needless to say, we have been through a couple bottles over the years.

I think this is truly extraordinary because it’s a serious cost-cutting exercise and works to the advantage of true fragrance lovers. The refillable service can save you close to one-third of the price of buying a new bottle of perfume. Not only is this benefiting your bank account but it is also a way to ensure that you remain sensitive to the need to conserve the environment. Each Mugler fragrance is encased in an extraordinary, crystal-like bottle which is too beautiful to throw away so why not reuse it? If you’re attached to the fragrance you will be attached to the bottle too and Mugler understands this. When you come in store to refill your bottle, you will personally be met and greeted by a Mugler fragrance ambassador who will polish your bottle for you once it has been refilled and it will look as beautiful as the day you first bought it. If you are in a hurry you can also skip the in-store refilling process and, instead, pick up an eco-refill bottle which is a simple cylindrical bottle which comes with a funnel so that you are able to refill your original bottle at home.
I think this service is impeccable. I, personally, think that purchasing one of your friends or family members a refillable Thierry Mugler bottle of either or is an incredible gift idea because it is sentimental and everlasting. My sister and I have a real attachment to the fragrances and the scent of one reminds us of the other. It’s a really heartwarming phenomenon. She loved every second of our experience at the Mugler Source. If you haven’t already, I would definitely recommend experiencing the exceptional service that Mugler has to offer and take full advantage of being able to refill your favourite fragrance.
