During the time that we’ve been confined to our homes, I think we’ve realised that spending more time in nature is essential to our well-being. When the restrictions started lifting ever so slightly last year, the first thing Ryan and I did was head out to Dinokeng nature reserve for a day trip just for a change of scenery and to fully submerge ourselves in nature. There is something about seeing a natural environment doing what it does when humans aren’t around that quiets the soul. We might begin to ask ourselves why it’s important to spend more time outdoors and when we truly analyse the benefits, it only encourages us to get outside.
Our new kitchen
I’m pretty sure that the kitchen is what sold the house to us because we love spending time in the kitchen prepping all our meals. The centre island is wonderful for being able to entertain and it really opens up space. An additional surface area for prepping areas will always be welcomed. The countertops are in a light grey marble and this compliments the light grey tiling and wall colour that runs throughout the house. The whitewashed cupboards are absolutely beautiful and allows the kitchen to feel light and airy. The amount of light and the tranquil colour of this space really makes me so happy.
Hello 2021
Happy new year everyone! I hope that 2021 brings you great health and happiness. It’s difficult to know what to expect from 2021 after all the lessons we learnt throughout the past year. As a result, I keep thinking about goals for the year but I haven’t written any down at all. Regardless, I truly hope it is a special year for everyone. I have a bit of a life update for you. We’ve moved!
