Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my current beauty favourites. I’ve had a few new products land on my beauty desk and these are the ones that you absolutely need on yours.
- Dermalogica: As far as beauty goes, skin is where it all begins. This Booster Trio is faultless. It comprises of the Solar Defence Booster with SPF 50 that can be added to moisturiser, foundation or applied to the skin directly. The second item in the Trio is the Skin Hydrating Booster which contains a high volume of hyaluronic acid perfect for intensively moisturising the skin. Thirdly it includes the Skin Renewal Booster which exfoliates and revitalises the skin. For more on this Trio, you can click here.
- MAC: Once our skin is looking bright and healthy, there are key MAC items that can bring out your most beautiful features. The Prep & Prime Essential Oils is a great way to prime skin and further ensure that it is well moisturised before applying your makeup. I’m a little bit obsessed with this oil. It smells great and my skin soaks it up so quickly. An old favourite MAC product of mine is the Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle which is the most beautiful highlight. The Fluidline Eyeliner Gel pot in blue is going to be so popular for bold eye statements in Autumn/Winter this year which I’m quite excited for! Another Autumn/Winter trend that we are going to be seeing a lot of is the Tone on Tone trend sticking to shades close to our natural skin tones. A great way to incorporate this trend into your makeup looks is with this lipstick in the shade Photo.
- Revlon: These Ultra HD lipsticks and lip lacquers are so super exciting. There are 15 stunning, vibrant lip lacquer shades and 20 different lipstick shades. The lipsticks are deliciously scented, you almost want to eat it (almost). They are different to other lipsticks in that they contain a gel technology so they’re quite light on the lips which is great. The lip lacquers are like nothing else I’ve ever tried before. They are SO pigmented, bold and shiny which I love! They look like liquid on your lips and the light bends and reflects off them. These really are incredible and at R145.00 each, well worth rushing to the shops for. They will be available from the end of February so keep your eyes peeled because I’m sure these will be a red-hot seller.

Another amazing post Leanne… I tried Dermalogica a while back but it did not do a lot for my skin. I am starting to think they put me on the wrong stuff. Planning on swinging by the concept store in V & A when we visit Cape Town next month. I have also been lusting after the MAC Essential Prep & Prime Oil 🙂
Thanks for sharing with us…
PS: Love the writing on your photos? Any tips how we can do it like this?

I think they probably gave you the wrong products. I’d definitely recommend you let them do a face mapping analysis for you in the concept store so you can get the right products for your skin type this time. You can read more about what to expect when having your face mapped in this post here . I’m not sure where you’re based but there is also a concept store in Rosebank Shopping Mall.
The oil is amazing!!!! I’ve been using it every day and I love it!
I use Photoshop for the typography but PicMonkey is great too (& its free). Thanks so much for reading! xxx
