Pink and White Winter Outfit

This winter I’m going to make sure that my colour palette stays light.  Pastels, florals, whites and neutrals are definitely going to be forming a huge part of my wardrobe all season long.  I’m going to try my hardest not to gravitate towards traditional dark winter colours but let’s so how that goes.  In keeping with that theme here is a pink and white winter outfit.  I went for a pale pink knit, a cream snood, white jeans and a floral purse.  It was warm and cosy and I successfully managed to avoid dark shades.  What do you think of trying to dress in a lighter colour palette in winter?  Do you prefer wearing the seasonal dark colours?  I’d love to know your thoughts!

I love this idea about soft neutrals and cosy textures for winter:-) I agree and love these neutral tones. It’s refreshing because I am always going for the dark tones, plums, burgundy, black, greys and purples. And I think the softer colours would go well with my tan olive toned skin. You look lovely Leanne!

I love this idea, going for soft neutrals for winter. How refreshing! I always tend to go winter dark winter tones, like greys, blacks, purples, deep maroons and plum colours. I love the soft neutrals with cosy textures you’re wearing, looks so lovely Leanne:-) I think I’ll try this out and see how these tones work with my tan olive skin tone.

First, I am loving how the background matches your outfit :)! Also, I am loving the colors and esp the bag.

I have that issue that as soon as winter and fall comes along my wardrobe colors become darker and duller which is a huge shame as I love everything bright and am addicted to colorful patterns. So, this year I will also challenge myself to keep it bright and colorful ^_^!

I love that your sticking with pastels during winter! I tend to go darker as the weather cools down, but light and bright colors do make me so much happier 🙂 And I know it’s nothing special, but I think it’s so amusing that we’re in opposite seasons; it’s cool following a fashion blogger that’s in the opposite hemisphere 🙂
