Something super girly today – pink, florals and a little bow too. I’m always attracted to feminine pieces and this floral dress is no exception to that. I am all for getting your money’s worth of your items of clothing especially where they are a little more on the pricier side. You know that expensive dress you bought for your cousin’s wedding that you have only worn once? Yip, you know the one I’m talking about, don’t you? I try my hardest to make sure that nothing in my wardrobe is wasted. This particular floral dress being my case in point. Last scene here, I paired this floral dress with a fascinator to wear for the Durban July. Today I chose to wear it with a piano cut, pastel pink blazer and with my hair tied up with a bow for a little bit more of a muted but sophisticated look. I’m also going to be wearing this dress with flats and a denim jacket right throughout summer which will make it appropriate for a braai, lunch with friends and even a casual date night at the movie theatre. There you have it, rather than saving this dress for a special occassion (the Durban July) and never wearing it again, I’ve now created three different looks with it. Now whatever the occasion, be it cocktail, smart or casual, I will be to make this dress work for me. I hope this post inspires you to pull out your most beautiful dresses and rework them in a way that suits your lifestyle.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
