Hi everyone! Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I flew to Durban for the weekend to surprise my Grandma for her 90th birthday. She has been a guiding light in my life. She is my best friend and such a role model. I couldn’t wait to spend the weekend with her for such an incredible occasion. Not many people make it to 90 that’s for sure. She’s lived through a world war, moved to a new continent, had four daughters, had six grandchildren and, so far, three great-grandchildren. She has the sharpest sense of humor and is always making me laugh. She introduced me to my love for music and has encouraged all my years of classical training. While she is so strong, she is also so sensitive so if I’ve ever needed a good cry I’ve always gone to her and we’ve had a fat cry together. What a special woman. The very best of women. Happy 90th birthday Grandma! I love you!
Last week I wore this lilac purple dress to work which has quickly become one of my favourite dresses for summer. I last wore this dress on my birthday in this post. This time I paired it with these berry shade heels (also quickly becoming one of my favourite pairs) and a matching lipstick for a contrast in colour. To break up the solid colours I added a floral print clutch. What do you think of this look?
