White Lace Dress & GIVEAWAY

To me a white lace dress is one of the most beautiful items you could ever own.  Most brides are currently picking out white lace dresses after the most beautiful woman in the world (in my opinion), Kate Middleton, opted for a white lace wedding dress designed by the extremely talented Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.  The revival of the love for lace is not difficult to understand as it is timelessly beautiful, elegant and it adds such a soft, delicate and feminine touch to any outfit which is exactly what most brides are looking for on their wedding days.

While brides are currently selecting the loveliest of imported Venetian lace, however, you don’t need to be planning a wedding in order to indulge in the luxury of lace.  I love to add touches of lace to my outfits whether it be a short, coloured lace dress (seen here and here) or even a lace blouse for a subtle little addition of lace to my outfit (seen here).

Today I opted for a white lace dress with a more relaxed, bohemian feel.  I feel in love with this dress the moment I saw it hanging in the X&O section of YDE.  I thought it would be perfect for those casual weekends spent drinking cocktails with friends while having a braai and enjoying the bliss that is summer.  I love the leather waist belt that gives a wonderful juxtaposition between the soft lace and the contrast of the dark, harder leather.

I had my hair blow waved and curled by Sorbet Dry Bar and then I added the twisted braid to create a wreath crown in my hair for a very soft and gentle effect.  For makeup I used They’re Real mascara by Benefit along with a couple other of their makeup products.  For shoes I opted for a pair of gold flat sandals by Bronx Woman that I am probably going to wearing all summer long.

Giveaway

If you love the overall look of this style diary, please take a moment to vote for me on Bronx Woman’s Facebook page.  If I am picked as a winner, one of my readers that has voted for me will win themselves a full look of their own with prizes from X&O or Miss Port from YDE, Bronx Woman, Benefit Cosmetics and Sorbet Dry Bar.  It’s such a lovely prize to win so I would love it if one of my readers were to be selected as the winner!

Thank you to Benefit Cosmetics, Sorbet Dry Bar, X&O and Bronx Woman for sponsoring this outfit.
