Hi ladies! I’m back today with a blog post featuring all these gorgeous products that are new on my beauty desk. I’ve got everything from skin care, masks, primers and a new range of mascaras to share with you from Benefit Cosmetics, Elizabeth Arden, Sephora and San Soucis (which is a new brand I’ve just been introduced to).
If you follow beauty bloggers from overseas you will already be quite familiar with the Benefit Cosmetics Porefessional primer which quickly grew a cult following of makeup lovers. The Porefessional primer acts in minimising the appearance of pores by using a blurring, silicone-like formulation. Benefit have new extended the Porefessional range by adding the Porefessional Instant Wipeout Mask and the Porefessional Matte Rescue makeup primer to the range. The Instant Wipeout Mask is absolutely amazing. These masks are sold in a box of eight individually packaged masks. Basically, you press the “emergency button” on the individually packaged mask which releases product into a cloth inside the sachet and then you can open the sachet and apply the cloth over your nose and cheeks and go watch some series while it works its magic. These really clean out your pores and you can feel the difference once you go and wash of the excess after you’ve watched an episode of your favourite series. The Matte Rescue primer is different to the original Porefessional primer in that it isn’t a silicone texture but rather a gel formulation. I really put the power of the matte strength finish to the test by wearing it under my foundation on a 5km run (I know – my poor skin). I can honestly say I’m seriously impressed. Usually after a run I’m a sweaty, red faced monster and after putting the primer to the test my makeup was still intact and, for the most part, surprisingly matte. That’s pretty incredible if you ask me. I, personally, have come to find that I prefer the Matte Rescue primer over the original Porefessional primer. I’m really happy that Benefit has added these two new products to the Porefessional range.
Having already mentioned the new Benefit Porefessional Wipeout Mask, I also have another two new masks on my beauty desk. The first one is another deep cleansing face mask created by San Soucis. As I mentioned, this brand is new to me. This German brand uses great skin care ingredients in all their products which I always look out for. The deep cleansing mask smells gorgeous and almost transports me to the beach with its aroma. It is very luxurious and has a thick cream texture which I apply to my skin generously and its absorbed into my skin over a period of ten minutes after which I wash off any excess and apply my usual moisturiser. It really cleanses and clarifies my skin which is why I love it so much. The next mask I’ve added to my collection is the Sephora rose sleeping mask which is a moisturising mask. I picked this up in Dubai because I love having moisturising masks when I travel because of the wear travelling has on the hydration of your skin. I’m also completely obsessed with anything rose scented so this was an obvious choice for me. I thought the packaging was so cute too. It reminds me of the miniature jams they serve with your toast at some restaurants.
I’ve been testing out a few new Elizabeth Arden products which recently landed on my beauty desk. The Elizabeth Arden Cleansing Oil has been an absolute winner in my eyes. It is quite similar to Dermalogica’s Pre-cleanse oil in that you apply it straight to skin to remove your makeup. I usually pump two pumps into my hands, rub it in my hands and then apply it straight to my face and it melts all the makeup off. I rinse with water and then, voila, makeup removed and I can then wash my face. After washing my face in the evening I like to use Elizabeth Arden’s new Ceramide Overnight Mask. This is a very rich and nourishing mask which is great for moisturising dehydrated skin. It’s truly a wonderful treatment for skin looking for some love and attention.
The last products that are new on my beauty desk are these Revlon mascaras. Revlon has come out with every girl’s individual dream mascara catering for every kind of lash effect. Whether you’re looking for Dramatic Definition, Ultra Volume, Super Length, Length + Volume or an Ultimate All-In-One, you will find exactly what you need for prefect fluttery lashes which I think is absolutely brilliant. Each brush is specifically designed for the outcome you desire and the effect that you crave. I also have to add that I really love the packaging too.
That’s everything that’s new on my beauty desk at this stage. I hope this post was helpful for you. Let me know if you like these kinds of posts down below and I’ll do them more frequently. Have you tried any new products lately that you’re loving? I’d love to know what they are so please leave those in the comment section below too. Thanks so much for reading!
