Durban July style guide 2016

Hi everyone!  Today is my second installment of my Durban July Style Guide.  If you missed yesterday’s post you can click here to catch up on the first look of this series which was an incredibly beautiful blush pink dress.  As I mentioned yesterday, I’ve partnered up with Forever New to put together these three looks and all the dresses from this series are currently available from Forever New.  

In today’s post I’ve chosen this gorgeous red, floor length dress (similar here and here).  It is very simply cut and fabric allowing your figure to do all the talking.  This bold red shade is so striking that you can see it coming a mile away.  For some odd reason I actually don’t wear much red and after seeing this dress I’m seriously questioning why not.  I definitely need to incorporate more of this firey colour into my wardrobe.  To accessorise this gorgeous dress I decided to stick with gold detailing in the form of this chain link necklace, cuff and earrings.  I couldn’t help myself when it came to lipstick – how could you not wear a bold red lip with this dress (I’m wearing this lipstick?  My ideal choice in shoes would be these, these or these.
