What to wear to a wedding

As you will already know if you read my last post Ryan and I stayed at Tintswalo at Waterfall last weekend.  We had such a marvelous experience!  If you’re looking for somewhere to go for a special staycation or a romantic (perhaps anniversary) dinner I would definitely recommend inquiring at Tintswalo at Waterfall.  The service was unbelievable and it was just an extraordinary stay all round.  

I bought this dress for Ryan’s cousin’s wedding back in May and realised that I hadn’t featured it on the blog so, while I packed it for our Tintswalo at Waterfall experience, I’m glad I finally get to share it with you.  Navy and floral print always attract my eye so when I saw this dress I instantly knew I had to have it.  It’s been the perfect dress for wedding season, date nights and I also pair it with a blazer and wear it to work.  As I’ve mentioned before, I’m all for a versatile items of clothing and this one definitely ticks all the right boxes.  

When asking yourself what to wear to a wedding, I would always recommend selecting something with a conservative length, so as to create a look that is elegant and tasteful.  I would also recommend only buying a dress if you are sure that you will wear it again.  If you have a suspicion that you will only wear it once, rather opt for a blouse and skirt that you can mix and match with other items in your wardrobe so that you can create smart, work-appropriate outfits, casual looks and something you can wear on a date too.  This way you can get the most out of the money you spend on an outfit that you may otherwise have only worn once and never again.  I hope this little bit of advice helps you out when wondering what to wear to a wedding.
