Christmas Time in San Francisco

We have been absolutely loving our time spent in America over the past few weeks.  The Christmas spirit is in full swing with houses beautifully decorated in Christmas lights, Christmas trees everywhere you turn, carolers bursting into song, Starbucks seasonal drinks, ugly sweaters everywhere and the hum of shoppers seeking perfect Christmas gifts.  Christmas time in San Francisco is extra special.  We visited the Fairmont Hotel’s giant gingerbread houses which were just magical.  The ice rink located in the centre of Union Square right next to a massive Christmas tree is just so beautiful.  You would have seen on my Instagram stories that we all headed out for a night of ice skating and it was such a wonderful evening so perfect for this festive season.  We also did a little (necessary) Christmas shopping and it’s so lovely to see all the stores decorated to perfection.

I’m currently writing this blog post from the airport as I’m about to board a flight back to Hong Kong to meet up with Ryan’s family for Christmas Eve dinner before we fly home to South Africa for Christmas Day.  Crazy right? The next couple hours I’m probably going to be offline either flying or spending time with family so I wanted to take this moment to wish you all a very merry Christmas.  I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating this special time of year with your loved ones.  I’m sending so much love to you all!
