I love drawing inspiration from a variety of different sources. Whether from nature or my geographical surroundings, a particular feeling or emotion, the season, trends or periodic pieces from throughout history. Today’s outfit is an example of the latter. With a , and a t orchestrated into a single outfit, I think this is self-evident. Each individual item is a modern reflection of fashion trends of the ’70s. Together, I think they can be used to create an extremely polished (and very comfortable) outfit build from 70’s style inspiration. The silhouette is very structured and tailored. I love how the high neck line of the turtleneck mirrors the high waist of the palazzo pants. The lines of this outfit create something interesting for the eye to draw in. I have kept the colour palette of this outfit very simple and rather let the style do the talking. Rather than a sky-high heel, I chose to wear (my favourite) in the same tone as the rest of my outfit. For a final touch, I grabbed a red lipstick to complement the neutral colour palette and I think this elevates the outfit and draws it all together. What do you think of this look?
What are your plans for the weekend? I’m going to be spending some quality time with my dad which I’m very excited about. I’ll also be filming a new video. Have you watched Monday’s video? It was extremely personal and I was quite anxious about sharing it. If you haven’t already, you can watch it here.
