It’s that time of year again! Until Christmas, I will be sharing gift guides for all the special people in your life as I navigate through all my Christmas shopping because I’m bound to find a few things that may help you with your shopping process too. Today I’m starting off with a gift guide for the beauty guru. If you have someone that adores all things makeup, skincare and beauty oriented, this gift guide is full of all my favourite recommendations that I know she will love as much as I do.
1
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that I am crazy about all Urban Decay products. This year the Naked Heat palette rocked my whole world and the latest launch, the , has arrived with much the same anticipation. These gorgeous pink shades are unbelievably beautiful. This palette has had every makeup lover’s tongue wagging so this gift guide for the beauty guru would be incomplete without it.

The jade roller has revolutionised the skincare world this year. It’s probably been the hottest product of the year and, needless to say, it was deserving of a mention in my gift guide for the beauty guru. By keeping a jade roller in the fridge or freezer, it is a truly refreshing tool to use on your skin first thing in the morning to reduce puffiness and to increase circulation in your skin. It is also a great tool to use for massaging any serum or moisturizer into your skin. It has so many beneficial properties for your skin so it would make a delightful gift for any friend and they will love you for the results they see in their skin.

You may have already seen me post about these on my Instagram stories. I’ve been so excited for this product to launch and could not wait to get my paws on it. Now that I’m planning my wedding, I’m definitely working on perfecting my skin care routine leading up to the big day. I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden Ceramide capsules so when I saw that they are incorporating retinol in them too, I knew this product was destined to make a permanent fixture in my nighttime skincare routine. I’m pretty sure there is only a little dose of retinol in these capsules so they’re safe to use every night. Retinol is a key ingredient in combating fine lines and wrinkles and also clears up any breakouts. Everyone needs a little retinol in their life. Your beauty guru will be eternally grateful.

I’ve used MAC’s “Soft and Gentle” highlighter for so many years. I’ve repurchased it so many times. Recently I was sitting with my sister while she was getting ready and I noticed that she was using “Lightscapade”. It is a very pale highlighter that does the most brilliant job at reflecting light. It is really difficult to find a great highlighter when you have very pale skin but this highlighter is a real winner. It’s probably the best highlighter I’ve ever come across. I’d certainly buy this a) for myself and b) for all my beauty gurus.

If you’re looking for something really special, the Urban Decay Sin Afterglow blush and highlighter palette is exactly that. With three blushes and three highlighters set in the most beautiful packaging, it’s truly dazzling. I love it so much that it made its way into my August Beauty Favourites post so you can read more about it there. This gift guide for the beauty guru would be incomplete without it.

This is possibly my favourite recommendation in this gift guide for the beauty guru. As I mentioned above, I’m really working on taking the best possible care of my skin leading up to my wedding. I’ve read so much about the benefits of sleeping on silk pillowcases and I’ve actually always had one but never used it as much as I should have been doing. Lately, I’ve made sure that it is a fixture on my bed and won’t go to sleep without a silk pillowcase. Not only does it mean that you don’t wake up with creases on your face in the morning but the silk also ensures that any product that you’ve used on your face stays there and isn’t absorbed by your pillowcase. It is also great for your hair too. I don’t know about you, but I struggle to sleep in a room that isn’t completely dark so I usually have an eye mask on my nightstand. When I swapped to silk pillowcases I thought a silk eye mask would be a great idea to look after my eyes too. I’ll be packing both my pillowcase and my eye mask with me whenever I travel now too. Why not give your beauty guru a silk eye mask and pillowcase gift set. She will be over the moon with this thoughtful gift.

My sister and I both adore the . It is the most feminine, daring and deliciously sensual fragrance. We both have a bottle in our fragrance collection. If you have a beauty lover among your friends or family, they will love this gorgeous fragrance. I always find a perfume to be such a sentimental gift. It’s always something that I treasure and I always think of the person that gave me the fragrance every time I wear it so it truly does make a wonderful Christmas gift.

Perhaps you’re looking for a stocking filler or Secret Santa gift for a beauty guru. You cannot go wrong with a MAC lipstick. This particular shade is a beautiful pink that will look beautiful on anyone. It is guaranteed to make a very special gift and the recipient will be so delighted! I know I would be!
I hope you’ve found this gift guide for the beauty guru in your life helpful. I will also be doing a gift guide for men as well as what happens to be on my personal Christmas list this year if you’d like to see those too. Let me know in the comment section below!
