Hi darlings! At the start of the week I asked whether you’d like me to share the best at-home work-out programs that I’m currently following. I love to stay fit and healthy which is so important for the mind as well as the body. It this present moment I think that is even more important to be looking after our physical health so I’m definitely keeping up with my healthy lifestyle routine and I’m so glad to see that so many of you are too. Here’s a list of the best at-home workouts I’ve found online and, great news, they’re all free!
BBG – This is an intense program of HIIT circuit training. These programs are 12 weeks long and the results you get from following the program are unbelievable. This is an app-based training program that is now available for free for the next month and I’d highly recommend it. I, myself, have done BBG and BBG 2.0 a number of times over the past few years and you can easily do then from home. Trust me, you’ll want to take a before and after picture because you’ll notice such a big difference. My list of the best at-home workouts wouldn’t be complete without BBG.
Pamela Reif – I’ve been following Pamela on Instagram for years and, to be honest, just one look at her is motivation enough to work out. She has such a gorgeous slim figure but she’s so, so strong which I love. She has a whole bunch of 10 – 20 minute long videos so I do a couple in a row to build up a good workout. She’s also been doing live workouts that are roughly 30 minutes long which is also great. Don’t forget to stretch and warm up though beause she just hops straight into the workout.
POPSUGAR Fitness – This YouTube channel is an incredible free resource for everything from full body workouts, kickboxing, dancing, Zumba, cardio, etc. They always offer easier variations to the movements to cater for anyone of any fitness level which means it is excellent for beginners and for seasoned fitness junkies alike. You’ll definitely meet your fitness goals by putting one of these videos on each day. It’s also nice to be able to switch things up and have varied workouts available to try a little of everything.
Coach Kel – If you are missing your pilates classes, Coach Kel has you covered. She offers brilliant barre/pilates classes that will really strengthen your core as well as a whole bunch of muscles you’d never thought of before. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Barre, it is basically the muscle toning that ballet dancers follow combined with a lot of pilates principles such as breathing techniques and holds. You’ll feel muscles trembling but you’ll really sculpt out your body by following her YouTube classes.
Boho Beautiful – I’ve always loved to practice a little bit of yoga for stretching out any tension in the body, building strength, becoming conscious of your breathing and clearing the mind. Boho Beautiful is a YouTube channel created by a couple that pop up all over the world in the most exotic of locations and practice yoga in these wonderful spaces. Their videos transport you to these places and that’s such great escapism at this point in time. Dedicating time to something so scenic and a workout in one is a win for me.
Alo Yoga – This clothing brand has been creating yoga videos on their YouTube channel that are studio-based and easy to do from the comfort of your living room. They’re excellent for flexibility. I love lighting a scented candle, playing my spa music and putting on one of their videos to unwind after a day at my home office.
Even if you are completely new to working out, now is a great time to start. We can come out of lock down having fully metamorphosed if we use this time correctly. Have you been working out at home? If so, do you have any your best at-home workouts that you could recommend? I LOVE seeing everyone’s workouts on Instagram so please tag me in yours so that we can keep the motivation flowing.
In order to ensure that you don’t lose momentum, I’ve also listed a few of my favourite activewear below. The light pink piesces are obviously my faves!
