It seems that so many people enjoyed the last readathon that I’ve been requested to host another one for the holiday season. Considering that we may be taking some time off during the month of December, it’s probably the perfect time to get some reading done. There’s nothing better than finding a good beach read or cosying up on the couch with tea, a mince pie and good book. I’ve decided to call this one the December Deck-the-Halls Readathon and I’d love it if you’d join me for it.
The theme behind the December Deck-the-Halls Readathon is, obviously, all our favourite Christmas decorations. All you need to do is simply pick your favourite decorations from the graphic above and follow the reading prompt for that decoration. Easy right? The readathon begins on 1 December 2020 so you can spend the next week planning your reading list and then we begin next week! The minimum requirement for participation is 1 book, however, you can do them all if you like! There are seven book prompts in total. No doubling up on decorations: each prompt = a separate book.
If you will be in participating in the December Deck-the-Halls Readathon, please leave the decorations you’ve chosen and the books you’ve selected in the comment section below so that we can all share book ideas that fit the prompts. I’ll be sharing my reading list down below once I’ve decided what decorations I’ll be selecting for the readathon. If you’re looking for reading material, I’ve made so many recommendations which you will find in these posts.
I’d also love to see snaps of you reading on Instagram if you take part so please tag me in all your photos (@arumlilea) and use the hashtag #arumlileabookclub. If you know someone you think would love to participate, please do share with them. The more, the merrier!
