Hi everyone! I’m so delighted to share our maternity shoot pictures with you today. This pregnancy has quite truly been the most magnificent journey and I couldn’t be more grateful for such a healthy and happy pregnancy. I also want to say a huge thank you to so many of you for supporting me along this journey towards becoming a mom. Over the past 10 years, I’ve shared so many details of my life on Arum Lilea and it’s just incredible to have a community of the sweetest ladies join me on this adventure of life and share your pearls of wisdom and encouragement along the way. From my university days, to meeting Ryan, our engagement, wedding, move and now the arrival of our baby boy, it’s been so wonderful to be able to share it all with you.
While we were in the Franschhoek last month, we met up with our wonderful wedding photographer, Danelle, to capture our maternity photographs. Danelle also took our engagement shoot photos which were absolutely incredible. If you’d like to take a look at our wedding photos, you can browse through those here. I absolutely love Danelle and her work is beautiful so I’m so grateful that she could add to our family albums and capture our materity photographs and this very special stage in our lives.
The end of my pregnancy has arrived and we are so excited to meet our son. I love him so much already. I cannot wait to hold him in my arms. This little bump of mine has been such a sweet experience. I absolutely love all the kicks and belly dances that take place. Sometimes I sit chuckling away while my little prince dances up a storm. He can be so unbelievably active that it really does make me laugh. I think I’m going to miss the bump.
By the time this post goes up on Monday morning, we will be in the hospital anticipating the arrival of our baby boy. I’m over the moon at being able to welcome him home for Christmas – my absolute favourite time of the year. I keep thinking that the only reason we celebrate Christmas is because a child was born, and here I am about to have a child of my own in the 4th week of Advent. What a delight. My heart is so full of gratitude for this little boy and for being able to carry him to full term.
At this time I would just like to say that I’m also thinking so much about other moms, grandmothers, great-grannies, expectant moms and all those of you that are praying to become moms in the near future. You all have a special place in my heart. I also deeply my own mom and grandma at this time who I know would have loved to have met their grandson and great-grandson and I’m thinking of all of you who have lost your mother figures too. This time of year always reminds us of those we have lost but remain very dear in our hearts and minds.
I’m going to be signing off until after Chrismas because this week is going to be a big one. I’m wishing you a very blessed Christmas. Have a wonderful time with friends and family and I hope it’s an incredibly special time for you all.
All my love,
Leanne
