Hi everyone! Gosh it’s been a minute. I’ve had the most glorious past few months embracing motherhood and all its glory. A friend of mine described the early days of being a parent as being both exhausting and exhilirating and I couldn’t agree more. It’s been a total whirlwind and I can honestly say that becoming a mother has been the best gift of all time. Now that we’ve hit the three-month mark, I feel like we’ve settled into a routine and life is pretty much back to normal with the addition of a beautiful little one.
Now that things are heading back to normal, things like wearing makeup and getting dressed up have finally returned to my routine. Most of my early days were predominantly spent wearing pjs except if we were expecting visitors or heading out but I’m very happy to say I’m now dressed every day, lol! Dresses remain my absolute favourite item of clothing. Now with the change of season looming, dresses such as this TDW Emporium paisley green dress, are a go-to whether paired with heels or flat sandals and even sneakers. I loved these dresses so much throughout my pregnancy too because they are 1-size-fits-all and look great belted over a baby bump. You may remember I wore a similar one in this post when I was full term.
Anyway, it’s great to be back. We’re also back in Johannesburg. We moved back three days before Edward was born which was just chaotic but had to be done. We’ll be in JHB for the foreseeable future but that could change. In other news, I had some lovely feedback from a bunch of wonderful ladies on my Instagram (@arumlilea) saying that you’d love more family content, baby recommendations and more book reviews so you can expect those coming up in my next posts, sprinkled with bits of fashion too, of course. Have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!
