River Island fringe sandals

Hi everyone!  I was absolutely overjoyed when I spotted these gorgeous River Island fringe sandals in the Sandton store two weeks ago.  You may remember them from Instagram or from the way I styled them in this post.  I’m completely obsessed with the fringe detail and tassel ends on the traps.  The straps wrap around the ankle and you can do this a variety of ways which I love.  They are also suede and I seem to have a thing for suede shoes because, unintentionally, my collection is growing.

These River Island fringe sandals remind me of something Olivia Palermo would wear.  I love the way she transforms a simple pair of comfy jeans into something really special by throwing on a great, bold pair of heels and I know she is not afraid of adding a little drama by way of incorporating tassels in the style.

Since I bought these River Island fringe sandals I have seen a whole lot of international bloggers incorporating them into their outfits too so clearly I’m not the only one who fell in love with them.  I also discovered that they’re actually the perfect dupe for the Aquazzura pair that you can find.

What do you think about the tassel and fringe trend?  Yay or nay?  While I’m not a huge fan of fringe I think adding it to an outfit through my shoes is just the right about of it for me.  I think any more would be a little too much for my personal taste.
