While we were in Dubai we spent some time at the Madinat Jumeirah. I absolutely loved it there for so many reasons. It’s the most ideal place for dinner near the water. You can take a little sunset boat cruise along the canal which is delightful as you take in the architecture and the sight of the wind sail shaped Burj Al Arab in the background. If you’re looking to get a good look of the Burj Al Arab this is probably the best place to go as the hotel is not open to the public unless you have a reservation.
Inside the Madinat there is also a souk filled with Turkish sweat treats (that you are encouraged to try before you buy – amazing!), beautiful fabrics, stained glass ornaments, gold and all things Arabic. It’s so lovely to be able to wander through the shops at your own pace before finding a restaurant outside to enjoy the exterior. This is a new souk so it is very different to the more authentic gold and spice souks but it is still absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend you add this to your itinerary of Dubai if you are planning to visit any time soon.
I loved the Madinat Jumeirah so much that I made sure to reschedule a few things so that I could visit it again before our trip came to an end. Here are the images from our second visit which was a lot sunnier than it was on this particular day.
Have a wonderful Monday! Thanks so much for reading! x
