Happy Monday!  I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!  Mine is going to be super busy but I’m hoping I have enough energy for all these shenanigans.  How was your weekend?  Le BF and I went to watch “Focus” yesterday and it was actually the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.  The movie is really worth watching too!

Yesterday I wore this midi skirt that I had found online.  The moment I laid eyes on it I knew I had to have it.  When it arrived it was even better than I anticipated.  You never know if the items you ordered are going to be anything like what you imaged them being after seeing a two dimensional image on the website.  Luckily this time when this midi skirt arrived I discovered it was better that I had anticipated and could have squealed with delight.  It has been made from such a lush, thick fabric and made with such great tailoring that I am really overjoyed.

When styling this midi skirt I decided I wanted to add bold shoulder pads to the look and so I pulled out this Zara dress and wore my new midi skirt over the dress.  Not only does this create a unique silhouette but it also means that I was able to create another outfit from my little black Zara dress.  Versatility is key to me!  To complete the look I paired a monochromatic pair of heels with a monochromatic envelope clutch and I was ready to go.
