Hi everyone! Today I thought I should share a few of my current beauty favourites since I have quite a few new items that haven’t appeared on the blog before. I love learning about great new products that are worth trying so I hope you are able to find a few items here that you are able to use in your routine and lifestyle too.
- Maybelline Great Lash mascara: This mascara cannot be beaten. Every single time I try a new mascara I end up disappointed and so glad to go back to my tried and true, never-fail mascara. It lengthens my lashes and gives them volume without being clumpy at all. It doesn’t irritate my eyes by flaking off which is something I recently expected while testing another mascara. I also love the fact that it is easy to remove. When I remove my makeup and wash my face there is no clumpy residue left on my lashes which I’m very grateful for.
- Clarins Beauty Flash Balm: If you have watched my most recent beauty videos (here and here)you will know that I’ve fallen in love with this product over the last few months. It brightens my skin beautifully and preps my skin for makeup after I have been through my skin care routine. I find that my makeup lasts longer throughout the day when I use this product as a primer and it also acts as a barrier between my skin and my makeup which leaves my skin looking more radiant and healthy than if I don’t. Amazing product!
- Britney Spears Fantasy perfume: This may be an old fragrance but it is so sweet and feminine that I really love it. It doesn’t hurt that it’s a gorgeous bottle too!
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water*: I don’t know what I will do if this product ever goes off the market. It is honestly the most brilliant makeup remover I have ever laid my hands on (and I’ve tried loads). I’ve mentioned before that my eyes are very sensitive and often makeup removers end up burning my eyes and leaving them red. The more gentle makeup removers are often soft enough to look after my eyes but not aggressive enough to remove my makeup. The formula of the Micellar Cleansing Water, however, has hit both nails on the head. It removes my makeup so quickly and easily without ever leaving my skin or my eyes irritated. No rubbing, no scrubbing, no crying. There is no fragrance to this product and when you see it and feel the texture of it you will question whether it is in fact 100% water. Best of all? It’s only R80.00 for a 400ml bottle.
If there is one thing and one thing only that you end up taking away from reading my blog I hope it is the importance of sunscreen. Skin damage caused by the sun’s harmful rays are no joke at all. This summer season I choose to protect my skin by using the Vichy Ideal Soleil* range. The SPF 50 is packaged in this very nifty spray bottle. This range is hypoallergenic, paraben free and water resistant which means I can enjoy my time in the sun (and especially in the water) without worrying about roasting my skin and suffering long term effects from too much of a good thing. This range is definitely worth picking up before the holiday season begins. It’s an investment in your skin that you will thank me for later.
Creightons* have launched their Bath & Shower and Shower Burst range in the most deliciously scented fragrances. I have been completely obsessed with this Vanilla & Macadamia Cocoon Shower Burst body wash. The fragrance lingers on my skin and in the bathroom after my showers and I absolutely love it! If you feel like unwinding with a relaxing bath the Cherry & Wild Fig Bath and Shower bubbles will leave you feeling like you’ve just left the spa. Such lovely products!
The Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch Of Glow* palette has the most beautiful packaging I have ever seen. It had me at the rose gold colouring complete with a bow and a pearl. It couldn’t be more perfect! As you know I’m all for versatile, multipurpose products because I feel that you get more wear out of them and, for that reason, more bang for your buck! This palette has a pearlescent highlight shade perfect for your brow bone and tear ducts, a light pink highlight for your cheeks and a gold and a bronze shade which are wonderful to warm your skin up with. Wear them individually or swirl a big fluffy brush in all four and use them all together and you are going to have a wonderful glowing effect which I love.
So that’s it for my current beauty favourites. I think I should do this kind of post a little bit more often, what do you think? Did you enjoy this round up? Please leave your comments and suggestions down below! Thanks so much for reading!
