How to Whiten Your Teeth

3rd November 2015

I often get asked about my teeth so I filmed this video to show you how to whiten your teeth the way I do.  These are such simple steps that you can add to your daily routine and they are so effective that you will be loving the results.  Whitening your teeth can be quick and painless if you follow these steps and you can do it all at home.  There is no need to spend a fortune on whitening your teeth at the dentist – I promise you!  All you need is that half an hour that you are washing dishes, jumping in the shower or even watching your favourite series.  I must also mention that I experience absolutely no tooth sensitivity with these steps which is often a side-effect of whitening your teeth at the dentist.

Teeth Whitening Essentials:

  1. Whitening toothpaste.  I love Colgate’s Optic White toothpaste.
  2. Whitening mouth rinse.  I’ve been really impressed by Sunstar GUM Original White mouth rinse (R49 at Clicks and Dischem).
  3. Floss.
  4. Crest Whitening Strips.  In South Africa you can purchase these online here.

I hope this video is helpful in learning new ways of how to whiten your teeth.  Please let me know your thoughts below.  If you did find it helpful please share this video with your friends.  Thanks so much for watching!

I have been thinking about the chair whitening, I might try the at home products first.
I would love if you could recommend an South Africa whitening kit like those strips.

I think you will be really impressed with the results! I haven’t found any worth trying in South Africa but try the link I’ve listed above to purchase the Crest Whitening Strips. It’s a South African website and it offers free delivery which always helps. Let me know if you try them 🙂 x

Another way of whitening your teeth without doing any damage is to do oil pulling with coconut oil 🙂
    That really helps!

Lovely blog by the way, would be happy if you stop by at mine 🙂

You do have very nice teeth, thanks for sharing these tips. 🙂 The Crest Strips are really effective, but I noticed after the first time I used them, I can’t wear them regularly, or my teeth become really sensitive. It’s weird, bc my teeth aren’t sensitive otherwise. I want to give the mouthwash a try tho.

Hi Kim! Thanks so much for watching! I found such a difference after using the first box that I now use the second box just for maintenance once a week/every two weeks so that’s probably how I’ve managed to avoid any tooth sensitivity. The mouthwash is a great way to maintain already bleached teeth though and there is absolutely zero sensitivity there because it is so gentle so I’m sure that will be effective. Let me know what you find works for you, I’d love to hear! Have a wonderful weekend!
