You may remember this from my “What to pack for a summer holiday” post. Needless to say, I packed it in my suitcase for my trip to Croatia and pulled it out to wear the day we arrived in Mljet. I wore this combo as we headed up to Mljet National Park because I knew that we’d be both swimming and walking around so I thought it would be a practical solution in order to avoid needing somewhere to stop and change. We docked outside a wonderful restaurant that we later dined at that evening, hired a tiny, archaic Fiat Uno and two scooters, squashed our snorkelling gear and doughnut float into the back and headed up to the Mljet National Park. We walked around the monastery which was ever so beautiful and went swimming in the crystal clear lake before stopping for some coconut ice cream (oh my goodness, it was delicious). It was such a breathtaking experience and most certainly one I’ll never forget.
