I know that many of you are as crazy about makeup as I am so I wanted to share my ultimate makeup list with all my favourite beauty products of the past year. I’ve discovered so many incredible new products and I’ve filmed this video in which you can see how I use them all which might be quite helpful. The products aren’t limited to only luxury or drugstore brands because I wanted to pick the best of the best regardless of price. You might recognise a few of these products from my Makeup Must-Haves of 2019 post. To be honest, these products are such a massive hit in my makeup routine that you can bet I will be packing all of them in my makeup bag for the wedding. Let me highlight each one of the products in my ultimate makeup list and I’ll give an overall winner in each category, however, this is really tough to do because they’re all incredible!
When it comes to foundations and concealers, I like a full coverage, velvety finish, longwearing and breathable products. I’ve tried so many foundations over the years and I have to say that the one I’ve listed here is the ultimate foundation. When I’m wearing it, it’s often mistaken for Estee Lauder’s Double Wear, however, it’s a fraction of the price. I have never repurchased a foundation as much as I have this one. It’s stellar quality.
I love a winged liner and the prize winner in this category is definitely the liquid liner. Usually felt tips dry out so quickly which is really annoying because even luxury brands have felt tips that are dried out within 3 weeks of use. This liquid liner makes the ultimate makeup list because it is so easy to use (great for beginners to winged liner), it doesn’t transfer on the lid and the product lasts months so you really get your money’s worth.
My new winning lip combination requires all three of these products so it’s impossible to pick a favourite from this category. I couldn’t be more excited to share my particular formula for the perfect lip with you.
I’ve been using Hoola Bronzer for years and it’s one of those universal shades that looks beautiful on everone. In terms of highlighter, I happened to be doing my makeup with my sister and saw Lightscapade in her makeup bag and I’ve been completely obsessed with it ever since. For someone as pale as I am, this is a gorgeous highlighter that actually shows. It’s gorgeous. The ultimate makeup list wouldn’t be complete without the Bobbi Brown blush listed below. It’s the perfect pretty pink blush and I couldn’t be more in love with it.
We don’t spend ages doing our makeup intending that it starts wearing off soon thereafter. The longevity of our makeup is so important to us all. This is why we’re seeing so many “24 hour” / longwearing makeup products on the market. Our hope is always that our makeup lasts from application until the moment we choose to wash it off. That being said, it’s essential to set your makeup with a great setting spray. I’ve listed two on my ultimate makeup list below. The All Nighter Setting Spray is my go-to, however, I’ve also listed Fix+ but not for the purpose you may think. I don’t use it as a setting spray but rather to intensify the pigment in a shimmery eyeshadow. To see how I do this, watch the video below.
