I’m absolutely over the moon to be able to share our wedding photos with you. On 22 February 2020, I married my soul mate, my best friend and the man I had dreamt of long before I’d met him. This man, now my husband, has taught me so many life lessons. He is a force of nature, absolutely hilarious, loves to dance and lives life to the fullest. He is the most kind and considerate partner. He is so encouraging of everything I do and sharing this life with him is such a sacred gift.
We were married in Our Lady of Light Catholic church and had our reception at Bona Dea Private Estate in the extraordinary Hemel en Aarde Valley. We had guests from all over the world fly out from Switzerland, England, Mauritius and America for our wedding despite the outbreak of the corona virus. It poured with rain and yet the day was everything we could ever have wished for. Being surrounded by the people we love and so many beautiful emotions was unreal. It was quite honestly the best day of my life.
Our photographer was Danelle Stofberg. She also shot our engagment photographs which you may have seen in this blog post. I searched and searched for the perfect photographer which when I found Danelle’s pictues, I fell in love with her photography style instantly. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
I know that many of you will have questions about my dress. I worked together with Isabel De Sousa from Bela Designs to create my bespoke wedding dress. Together we went in search of the perfect lace. I’m so lucky to have worked with her on my dress because she allowed me full creative reign over it. I will do a separate video all about the making of my dress so there will be more details on that to come. Keep an eye out for that.
