During summer I tend to gravitate towards light weight clothing. This summer has been absolutely boiling so far with our countless heat waves which makes it nearly impossible to leave the house in anything with a thick fabric unless there is the guarantee of a good, strong aircon along the way. In this heat it can be tempting to throw on a pair of shorts and flops but being the girly girl I am I still like to dress up. To me, a great light weight chambray blouse can be a key piece in a summer wardrobe.
How to style a chambray denim blouse
Ryan’s mom gave me this chambray denim blouse from Cotton On for Christmas and I’ve been wearing it on quite a serious rotation because it provides great coverage from the harsh sun and yet it is light enough for me to wear it on the warmest of these scorching days.
Over the weekend I paired this chambray denim blouse with a rose skirt that my aunt made for a fun brunch outfit. I grabbed my purse from Dune London as the perfect accessory and threw on a pair of heels to complete this look. It was light enough to wear during the heat which made it really comfortable and yet it was still nice enough to feel dressed up on a Sunday. What do you think of this look?
