If you’re following me on social media (@arumlilea) you will have seen that we’re busy travelling through California at the moment. We’re currently in Los Angeles but today’s post comes from the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco. It has been my second time visiting San Francisco. I was last here for Halloween three years ago with friends and we had the most incredible time. This time around I’ve brought Ryan and my sister along with me for the ride. We met up with my friends here again and we’ve absorbed everything the city has to offer.
Ryan and I had a morning to ourselves while we waited for my sister and my friends to arrive in the city so we decided to take a walk down to Pier 39 and once we had walked around the area we hired bicycles and cycled to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was the first time I’ve ridden a bicycle in quite some time which, at first, was quite scary. Soon enough, though, I was quite happy to cycle around. We headed down towards the beach and the old fort which offer the most spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge. If you’re planning a visit to the city I would highly recommend hiring bikes and cycling around too because we saw so much that we would have missed travelling by car or on foot.
