You may remember my review of the Pantene Pro-V Moisture Renewal shampoo and conditioner from this post. While I often chop and change between shampoos and conditioners because I think that is the best thing to do for your hair, I often circle back to the Pantene Pro-V range because I really love it and have done for years. I’ve actually been using it since my teenage years. Recently I’ve been trying out the Pantene Pro-V Repair and Protect shampoo and conditioner and a few additional products that have been added to the range so, naturally, I wanted to share my review of these products with you.
The Pantene Pro-V Repair and Protect range has been specially formulated to rehydrate dry hair and to soften and increase shine in your hair. Summer can be really tough on your hair. Between swims in the sea or a chlorinated swimming pool, increased use of heat tools and sun damage, we’re probably all struggling with dry ends at the moment and that’s exactly what this range has been designed to cure. In order to do so, I have been using the Pantene Pro-V Repair and Protect shampoo and conditioner multiple times per week (I usually do about 3 washes per week). I’ve also been using the range’s treatment about once a week to give my hair a little extra loving. My favourite product in the range is most definitely the Deep Moisture Soufflé. This gem can be used on wet or dry hair and has the same texture as a mousse. It is absorbed by your hair as a lightweight conditioner that you don’t need to wash out. I generally keep this product in my gym back to tame my hair after a workout to protect my hair from the damage of heat products multiple days a week. The Frizz Fighter Cream is a leave-in conditioner that could be used in a similar way but would be better suited to someone that suffers from frizzy hair.
All in all I can say that the Pantene Pro-V Repair and Protect range has really improved the hydration of my hair. It’s silky soft at the moment and I’m really loving it. The only downside to such soft hair, however, is that I’m really struggling to have it hold a curl (even with hair spray) which you may have noticed in the images above. For this reason, I’ve had to put my signature curls on the shelf for the time being and had to embrace my dead-straight hair. I’m happy to do so, though, because it’s been similar to a detox. The strength of my hair has increased due to the products and the fact that I’ve reduced the amount of heat I use on my hair. The Pantene Pro-V Repair and Protect range is definitely worth trialing out for yourself if you haven’t already. I think you’ll give it a stamp of approval.
