Winter wardrobe essentials 2018
Poncho (old, love this newer version) | White Bodysuit | White high-waisted jeans | Similar over-the-knee boots | Bag (love this version)
There are a few winter wardrobe essentials that everyone should look for in the colder months. A few key pieces can be extremely versatile and be worn over and over again which is exactly why I love to stock up on them. With these in your wardrobe, you will never suffer from “I have nothing to wear” syndrome again.
- A poncho is such a fun piece to keep in your winter wardrobe because is a variation on a jacket and can really be styled so beautifully. While it may look super chic, it is also incredibly cosy and will have you feeling so comfortable, almost as if you’re curled up on the couch under a blanket while you’re wearing it. What a bonus!
- Bodysuits have been the best basic that I could have incorporated into my wardrobe for winter. They are so flattering and fit so nicely underneath skirts and jeans. I have stocked up on a number of bodysuits in black and white but there are so many gorgeous variations on the trend such as this crushed velvet number. I’m obsessed!
- White denim in winter may seem counter-intuitive but I’ve never been a fan of a dark winter wardrobe. I embrace my whites year-round and I really enjoy them in winter. Incorporating white into your winter wardrobe can be really refreshing!
- Over-the-knee boots are an absolute winter wardrobe essential. They really elongate your legs and have a slimming effect too. It is a fantastic trend. Whether flat or with a heel, this winter staple can be worn with any outfit and instantly transform it into something fabulous.
That’s it for my winter wardrobe essentials 2018. I hope they inspire you to take note of the basics you have in your wardrobe and add a few key pieces which add a little variety to your style in the colder months. Let me know if you have any winter essentials in the comment section below.
I am no where near ready for winter yet but you look great! I admire the facts that you aren’t afraid to wear white in the winter
