Hi ladies! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I’m overjoyed to announce that the newest range of the Arum Lilea Collection launched on Saturday! My inspiration for this collection has been the great glamour of the 1950s. Think of the style icons of that era: Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Onassis and Grace Kelly. To me, the fashion of that instance in time is absolutely timeless, elegant, feminine and graceful and this is exactly what I wanted to offer a sophisticated lady of our present moment.
My sister, Jasmine, simply adores this time period in fashion history. In October last year, we started talking about creating a dress together, inspired by this era, that she could wear for her graduation and that we would incorporate into the Arum Lilea Collection. Together, we worked on the idea for the silhouette of the dress and then we went and searched through fabrics to find the perfect pink shade in the most luxurious material we could find that would be most suited to this style of dress. We knew instantly once we had found the right one.
Our first sample was ready in December and we absolutely loved the shape of the dress, the way it shows off the collar bones and creates a slight, beautiful hourglass figure. After working with my sister on the creation of this dress, it was only fitting that it was named after her. I’m completely delighted to share the Jasmine dress with you. I hope you’ve enjoyed learning a little bit about the process behind creating this dress and why I’ve chosen to name it, Jasmine.
