Hi everyone, hello November and a warm welcome to the jacaranda season of 2021! Goodness what whirlwind the past few weeks have been and they’re only going to pick up the pace as we accelerate to the end of the year.
We had our baby shower weekend before last which was nothing short of incredible. It was so special to see our little baby boy completely showered with love. I will share a post dedicated to our baby shower soon. This weekend is I’ll be having my first prenatal classes which I’m really excited about. I’ve washed the baby clothes and started prepping for the hospital bag. Slowly, slowly we’re getting ready for this little man to arrive. If you’re also on the road to becoming a first-time mom, you might find our baby shower gift registry helpful to take a look at for ideas for your own baby shower and for baby shopping in general. Our rocking chair arrives tomorrow which I cannot wait for. If you’re interested, I can do a whole post on what all we’ve bought in preparation and what I’m packing in my hospital bag. Let me know if that’s something you’d like to see.
This past weekend we spent the weekend in Johannesburg and it was lovely to take in the beautiful jacaranda season with its lilac skyline which we don’t see as much of here in Hartbeespoort. Irina and I made sure to head out and take some pictures around town which has become one of my favourite traditions (see previous jacaranda posts here and here). We also completed the October Readathon this past weekend so I’ll need to share a wrap up of that with you. Did you enjoy it? I really loved seeing your posts.
We have have three gorgeous weddings coming up over the next three weeks and a little bit of a holiday in between which is very exciting. I cannot wait to get dressed up, celebrate the love of our friends and family and spend a whole lot of time lying by the pool. It will also be our last holiday before Baby arrives so it’s one we will never forget, I’m sure.
