Another year older, another year wiser! Today is my birthday and it’s been making me think of how fast time seems to be going at the moment. I think that the past year, I’ve been acting mechanically trying to push through the pandemic, stay on top of work in our new work-from-home norm, do daily workouts in, try focus on self improvement while social distancing and so it goes. On the other hand, I was reminded of so many beautiful things that I had taken for granted and that I now appreciate more than ever.
Our new kitchen
I’m pretty sure that the kitchen is what sold the house to us because we love spending time in the kitchen prepping all our meals. The centre island is wonderful for being able to entertain and it really opens up space. An additional surface area for prepping areas will always be welcomed. The countertops are in a light grey marble and this compliments the light grey tiling and wall colour that runs throughout the house. The whitewashed cupboards are absolutely beautiful and allows the kitchen to feel light and airy. The amount of light and the tranquil colour of this space really makes me so happy.
My Bachelorette dress
With the sweltering heat we’ve been having lately, it’s been so great to pull out my favourite light, summer dresses. This one happens to be the dress I wore for my bachelorette but I threw on a pair of wedges and these fun sunglasses and it was the perfect outfit to wear for brunch and sipping on mimosas with my friend Irina. Who knew I’d repurpose my bachelorette dress to be worn as a daytime dress! I really do love pieces that can be worn for many different occasions.
