If I had to pick my two absolute favourite colours for summer fashion this summer they would have to be cobalt blue and yellow. I have a terrible habit of becoming completely obsessed with colours for about a year or so before venturing off towards a new one. I’ve been like this since I was a child. I remember my first trip to Paris, aged 11, when my mom wanted me to have a beautiful summer wardrobe to wear in the most glamorous city in the world but I completely limited her choice by overruling anything that wasn’t lilac. Fast forward ten years and I wouldn’t even look at anything in the shops that wasn’t rose gold or blush pink. I guess that’s just a part of my character that’s never going to change.
This summer though, I have been absolutely loving cobalt blue and different shades of yellow. I don’t think I’ve ever owned yellow clothing until this past year and my collection has certainly grown. I tend to gravitate towards blue quite often but previously it was baby blue or navy but now I’m loving cobalt or royal blue shades. I think these two colours together pair so well for summer fashion. They’re bright and playful which is perfect for this season. I really love the embroidered blouse in this cobalt colour paired with these yellow high waisted shorts that I borrowed from my sister. I think they make such a fun summer outfit. What do you think?
