Oh my gosh you guys, I am so excited to write this post. It is now 6 months until our wedding! Everything seems to be coming together so it was time I gave you a Wedding Planning Update III! If you’ve missed the previous two you have read the first one here and the second one here. At the beginning of the month, we both had some time off and were able to take a trip down to Cape Town to do a whole bunch of wedding planning and we had the absolute best time! Here’s a little update on where we are with all the planning so far.
Hi everyone! I’ve read so many great books lately so I wondered whether I should share them with you. I asked whether you would like an updated Arum Lilea Book Club book review over on my Instagram stories (@arumlilea) and so many of you said YES! It made me so happy to see how many of you love to read as much as I do. Needless to say, I aim to please so here is a review of a few of my latest reads.
If you happen to be new around here, you may not have guessed it but I am a stroke survivor. Today’s blog post title I credit to Jill Bolte Taylor who chose to draw insight from her stroke in a remarkable way. I think it’s always important to stop and reflect on where your life has taken you because it often gives you a deeper appreciation of life itself. Five years ago, on 21 May 2014, I had a stroke while at work and it was a day that changed my life forever. If you’d like to learn a little bit more about what actually happened and about my recovery process, you can read this blog post and watch this video where I discuss that in more detail. Today, however, I thought I’d reflect on the journey over the past 5 years, what I have learnt from my experience and how it has impacted my everyday life.
