This decade I have…

I happened to be reading Zoella’s article on a “backward bucket list” and I thought it was such an excellent exercise for reflection that I decided to work my way through the exercise of beginning a statement with the phrase “This decade I have…” and each word listed below.  It’s quite a beautiful exercise because it forces you to think wider than the tunnel vision that we automatically generate that’s focused on the present moment in time.  It challenged me to think a bit and definitely required a little bit of long-term memory recall.  This decade I have:

What it means to be a woman

The concept of being a woman is something I’ve spent so much time pondering on over the years and I’m sure it will be always be a topic I love to explore and discuss.  I’ve spoken about gender-related topics both on this blog and I’ve written magazine articles on the topic too.   Being a woman is something I am so passionate about and I love the skin I’m in so much, despite the challenges, every single day.   Here’s my version of what it means to be a woman.

Red gingham dress

I absolutely love a red gingham dress and always.  Gingham has always been one of my favourite prints and I think it looks great in a dress form in the summer.
